This majestic home in Maplewood, NJ's had a somewhat out-dated kitchen and family room. The remodel opened up the family room with more light and created a restaurant-style open kitchen with adjacent seating banquet. RGH Development, Allie Wood Design Studio,In House Photography.
Family Room beyond features new Dutch-door entrance to driveway on one side and French door sliders to the grilling deck on the other side. Exposed ridge rafters provide a base for LED lighting that illuminates the vaulted ceiling.
At the other end of the kitchen, built-in banquet seating provides a perfect family gathering space with under-bench drawers providing plenty of extra storage space. The hallway beyond leads to the home's formal dining room past a refurbished original butler's pantry.
