The couple that purchased this 1960s home in Monclair, NJ were originally not fans of some of the Hollywood "glam" elements. We worked with them to preserve some of the more salient features while providing more contemporary updates enabling them to stamp their own unique style to the home. New Kitchen and Mudoom
The dining room is open to the remodeled kitchen, barbecue patio and pool beyond.
Open shelving helps to modernize the kitchen, complete with high gloss tile and mixed metal fixtures and appliances.
A bathing/grooming area was a must have in the mudroom for these dog lovers.
The basement mini-bar becomes the central entertainment area located between the home theater and the billiard room.
The rustic bar becomes the focal piece is this otherwise subdued space.
